Ringo is a solid backbeat no matter the band and that's exactly the problem...Ringo is a "Dr. Beat." There is no flash, or stray from the standard 2 & 4 backing with simple fills. There's not really much drumming going on at all.
The music on this cd doesn't make things much better. There was a review written speaking on the subject of the music as a whole (not just the drumming). The review commented that "you can't help but smile while listening to this music." I'm sorry, but that's just not the case. There is no smiling, there is no sadness, there's just not any emotion. The majority of the tracks feel like some prefabricated-out-of-the-box song that just doesn't cut it.
Dear Ringo, please play something with some balls!! Dear reader, please don't buy this cd.
